Job Description:
ECE is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to join the Department. This position will involve the design, schedule management, documentation and inspection of high voltage transmission lines and medium voltage distribution lines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and modeling of transmission lines
- Management of transmission line schedules
- Communication with clients
- BOM accounting
- Preparation of 830 Contracts, Form 254 and Invoices
- Providing information for contractors to bid, receiving the bids and awarding the bid
- Inspection of transmission lines with under build and documentation of faults found
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years’ relevant experience in transmission line design and construction
- Working knowledge of the NESC and RUS Bulletin 1724E-200 “Design Manual for High Voltage Transmission Lines”
- Proficiency in engineering concepts related to transmission line design
- Project management
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, SAG10, AutoCAD, Word and Excel
- Ability to self-learn
