Our Company
Our company (ECE) was incorporated in 1968 and founded by Billy Roseman, R.V. Southworth, Ted McGavran and William Harkey. The mission from day one was to provide engineering consultation services to electric utilities. Since its inception, the company has provided consulting engineering services to electric utilities with a focus on Rural Utility Service Cooperatives.
In January of 1998, ECE became an employee owned company and is currently 100% employee owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). After 50 years, we still proudly serve the Rural Utility Service Cooperative community, along with Investor Owned Utilities, municipalities, industrial clients and developers. We are a licensed engineering firm with our Corporate office located in Charlotte, North Carolina and a branch office located in Rock Hill, SC.
We are a group of highly experienced engineers led by Joshua R. Black, PE as our President and CEO, and William “Chris” Crosby, PE, PLS as our Vice President and COO.
We are a team of professionals that take pride in what we do and consistently offer advanced and efficient solutions for executing all designs and projects as a client-focused company. Our staff is experienced with the latest engineering software and techniques. We continually strive to exceed expectations with integrity, loyalty and competence.
ECE has a staff of qualified personnel, including engineers licensed to provide professional engineering services in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia; and professional land surveying in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. Professional Land Surveying services are offered out of our Rock Hill, SC office.
