We obtain, prepare, and permit each project site to meet our client’s specifications. Our company specializes in power station voltages up to and including 230kV. We are licensed as both a Landscape Architect firm and a Land Surveying firm in North and South Carolina.

Department Responsibilities
Ensure substation and transmission siting activities are performed in accordance with industry policies, practices, standards, and regulations.
Research federal, state, and local zoning ordinances, environmental restrictions, and construction regulations.
Generate construction and design packages which include layout, demolition, grading, erosion control, and landscape plans for Transmission Lines and Electrical Stations.
Identify and manage substation and transmission siting risks to the overall project scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop and monitor substation and transmission siting tasks, cost estimates, and schedules.
Prepare site-related reports and GIS mappings.
Manage and coordinate regulatory applications and local zoning applications.
Participate in stakeholder meetings and public workshops.
Organize and facilitate presentations to civic groups, property owners, residents, and regulatory agencies.
Attend community meetings – rezoning, special use, for both city and county council.
Organize and facilitate pre-submittal meetings.
Environmental reports/permitting to satisfy the requirements of federal, state, and local governments.
Conduct wetland delineation with the help and oversight of experienced environmental consultants.
Feasibility studies for proposed substation sites, transmission, and distribution line routes.
Conduct field reconnaissance to evaluate proposed route alignments and identify any potential impacts on the transmission routing and substation site.
Engineering surveys to map topography for transmission line routes and substation sites.
Visual impact analysis to illustrate the visual impact of a transmission or distribution line.
